Or as one of my client CEOs more succinctly puts it, “It’s how we get things done around here.” Therefore, organizations that want to make strides in fairness and uniform access must understand and leverage their culture.Īn organization’s culture is defined by the practices and behaviors that exemplify the underlying beliefs, values and assumptions held by members of an organization. Equity and Inclusion are more about organizational culture and culture’s impact on employee engagement and commitment. How does organizational culture relate to DE&I?ĭiversity is related to the numbers and the policies and practices behind those numbers.
